Undulating tree lined holes with many large well placed bunkers. Greens rolled true and fast with many large breaks making putting a challenge. The par 5's are all very long. The four sets of tees measure 7,050, 6,670, 6,190 and 5,420. Be sure to play the proper tees for your ability. The only negative was pace of play which was rather slow.

Great course! Been playing it for many years! You need your A game to score well here. If you play it enough times, you know where you have to be to score OK. Don't take first time players here!!

Top shelf course. Dollar for dollar no better course around (not bad for being neighbors with Cog Hill). #9 is an unreachable in 2, par 5 that is as difficult as any hole in Chicago(from any teebox). If you get a chance to play Big Run, don't pass it up.
